This class with Shirly was definitely a trip highlight for me and my boyfriend! Shirly is so sweet and so easy to talk to. We had a great time not only learning from her — we made two types of empanadas and dulce de leche pancakes — but also chatting with her about Argentinian culture. We also shared a bottle of wine and a cheese plate while we waited for the dough to set in the fridge. And had mate with alfajores when we first walked in! Perfection.

A cooking class with Shir is something you will never forget... learned so much about Argentina and the cuisine. But more impressive and unforgettable is Shir and what a fun and wonderful person she is. The class in her beautiful apartment is an experience of a lifetime. She is an outstanding teacher and blends everything you do with an explanation of the history and customs of what you're drinking and cooking. We chose this class because it included making the dough and because reviews sounded like it is well done. It did not disappoint!!! It was fun, interactive, well-structured, instructional, and we all got the chance to practice each step. We even got help learning how to practice pancake-flipping skills!
