Norma´s Argentina Cooking Classes: what do users think?

Patricia Collins: Norma is a lovely and very gracious teacher who invited us into her lovely home. She was totally prepared for our class and gave clear, personal instruction. The dishes we prepared were delectable. Highly recommend Norma’s Argentina Cooking Classes!

Donna Aubry: Norma was wonderful. Made us feel like we were in our own home. Do not miss this class. We made empanadas, lentil stew, and alfajores with mate and great conversation. The views of the city were wonderful too. Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back and learn more.

Cindy Baldwin: We absolutely loved Norma! She is very friendly and organized. I don’t bake but she worked with me until I made the empanadas perfecto! The food was excellent. Norma spoke English perfectly since we did not speak Spanish. By the end, we felt like family.

Amanda D: Amazing experience!! I really loved to learn with Norma, She is very attentive and a wonderful cook! I loved the experience of learning how to make real empanadas and alfajores!! I recommend her cooking classes 100%❤️

Sagar Memon: We had the best time cooking with Norma! She was very accommodating in making the class work with my wife’s dietary restrictions and a joy to spend time with.

Lily Bowden: We had such a lovely day with Norma and our fellow newbie chefs. It was great to learn more about Argentine traditions (mate!) and make some really delicious food and drink wine. Norma is fabulous and the class has been one of the highlights of my trip!

Elizabeth Kiernan: An amazing and personalized experience cooking Argentine specialties with Norma! She provides lots of resources to take new skills home. Would highly recommend 😊

Tierra Negra Cooking Classes: what do users think?

Tanner Smith: Veronica and Manuel are a delight! There home is open and inviting and the class is fun and informative. The empanada class includes excellent wine paired for the dishes you create. Delicious!

Carter Wright: The perfect end to our trip! The best empanadas we had in South America (and we had a lot) and it was so fun having a hand in making them. Excited to try the recipe at home. Learned a lot about the food culture of Argentina (with wonderful tidbits of history), drank great wine, and had wonderful conversation. The hosts speak fluent English, and extremely kind and welcoming. Wish we had taken the class at the beginning of our trip to have a better understanding of the food.

steam shovel: Took a cooking class, empanada making with Veronica and Manuel who own Tierra Negra Great, food and learned a lot about the Argentine culture. My wife and I enjoy traveling and cooking at home and have learned taking classes away home is not only educational, but a great way to spend time having lunch and dinner. It Is located in an apartment that has a great, comfortable set up. Better than any other class, I’ve taken about 25. Also in a great part of the city They limit amount of people so it is more than interactive and you can keep asking questions. Anyone going Argentina will realize empanadas are a staple there and eating ones you made is fantastic. Manuel Is a passionate cook and Veronica is a sommelier who serves and pairs local wines. I would highly recommend the classes. Don’t go to restaurants, taking great cooking classes and enjoy and learn.

Jack Jensen: Fantastic empanada cooking class. The hosts were great and explained everything in an easy to understand manner. We made the dough from scratch while Manuel made the fillings. We then filled our dough rounds and they baked them for us. The empanadas were then served with some great wine and were delicious. I hope I can do this well when I try to make them when I get home.

Cheryl Baldwin: Delightful evening learning how to making choripan and alfajores. As a none cook I loved getting my hands in the dough and creating something myself. Veronica and Manuel were lovely hosts full of information and charizma. Excellent experience!

Ed Chan: I went with my family today and had an incredible experience! My 10 yr old daughter and 8 yr old son will remember this experience for a long time. If your traveling with kids in Buenos Aires, this was the only cooking class that would accommodate. I highly recommend it.

Eleanor Carlisle: Fantastic hosts and a great way to spend an evening while in Buenos Aires. Would definitely recommend.

The Asado Experience - Premium Steak: what do users think?

Agata Serrano: My husband and I participated in the Asado experience and it was truly a highlight to our stay in Buenos Aires. The setting and environment were elegant yet welcoming. The chef was very knowledgeable and friendly. The food was simply amazing, with fresh, quality ingredients and we got to learn about the Asado tradition for Argentinians. I would definitely recommend anyone visiting Buenos Aires to do the Asado Experience!

Ken Polydor: This was an amazing experience. Belen and Lou were awesome hosts. My friend and I had a blast. It was really fun cooking with them. They make the experience very enjoyable. The food was premium quality and full of flavor. I would definitely recommend.

Jeffrey Orlowski: Anyone visiting Buenos Aires should book this experience. Belen, the proprietor, hostess, and grill master/mistress is warm, wonderful, and takes you on a terrific three hour journey. From how to light the coals and wood to how to make the Chimichurri, from how to season the meats to how to check the temperature of a tenderloin without slicing or poking, you learn more than you can imagine about Asado. And the food…the food is exceptional. The best cuts of meat, the freshest vegetables, and all served with a lovely Malbec (take the upgraded wine option!). Experienced outside on the patio of a lovely Buenos Aires home, with help from Tessie and Olivia, this was an evening we will never forget and hope to come back for again!

Dora Kerekes: We had a great time at the Asado Experience. We spent a memorable evening experiencing a real Sunday Asado and getting to know some nice people. The food was delicious and Zelmi and Belen were great hosts.

Isabel S: Highly recommend! I love how Belen brings people together and create this unique experience. Aside from delicious food, you learn l things like how to start the fire, and knowledge about the materials. There’re lots of wine too and the dessert is amazing. I really love it.

Nathalie Jennersten Gill: Very very nice experience. All the typical Argentinan food you could imagine, we learn all about the different cuts of meat and how to manage the fire. Great for an event with friends. Thank you Belen for a beautiful evening and location.

Bradley Powers: We had the most incredible experience with Belen and Zelmi at the Asado Experience. The food was incredible, the atmosphere magical, and the opportunity to meet fellow travelers in such a great setting was priceless. Anyone who sees this review should book right away! You would be missing out otherwise!

Hayley Stevens: The Asado Experience was such a highlight of our South American trip. Belu and her team were so kind, informative, and eager to teach us about the delicious Argentine asado. The meal was absolutely outstanding and we learned so much. We HIGHLY recommend this to anyone visiting Buenos Aires. Thank you, Belu and team!

IAG - Argentine Institute of Gastronomy (Barrio Norte branch): what do users think?

Florencia Quintela: Honored to study here, the level of the teachers, the facilities, the available online material is a luxury ... Unlike something I read here, I think they adapted well to the new normal due to the pandemic. I never had a problem, happy to be able to live this experience. The fee is high but it makes sense, it is what usually happens with excellent services.

daniel ayala: The best place to learn excellent teachers facilities

Eva Isa: It is the second time that I try to get information for the pastry course (duration and costs) and they tell me to go register on the web. I DO NOT WANT TO REGISTER I WANT INFO, STOP COPYING, PASTE AND SENDING THE SAME MESSAGE TO EVERYONE WITHOUT READING WHAT YOU ARE ASKING. very bad attention

Melisa Fimiani: First class of pastry for events!! One thousand

Lucia Goyanes Fafian: The best gastronomy institute in Argentina and I dare say that also in all of Latin America. The teachers and professors have an incredible level, the classes are super entertaining and a lot of learning. They have internships in Buenos Aires throughout the course of the degree and also abroad. The study plans are very complete and the educational level is superior

cristian grecco: excellent attention

Franco Stefano Zamponi: The best of gastronomy. They should improve their virtual platforms

Joaquín Mazzeo: Best cooking school in Latin America. With a national and international job bank. Graduated from Gastronomic Professional.

Victoria: They removed my negative review. Are they going to censor something else from their students? What a disgrace, how are they handling themselves?

Crudo Clases de Cocina: what do users think?

Malena Camila: We took a course on raw food. The recipes were delicious and it was a great experience overall. The instructor could have a better, more polite, approach I believe.

Adri Raba: Make cheese course based on seeds and other vegetables, drinks and fermented preparations. Experienced teachers and a lovely place.

Yanel Ana Mangano: Excellent place to acquire new knowledge and promote a change in diet. Maximum CoML both Felipe are excellent professionals, who note that enjoy what they do and share. Both are very didactic. All staff are excellent. It is worth investing time and energy in crude courses.

Sergio Wisner: The classes are super interesting, taught by professionals who, in addition to recipes, offer an explanatory framework on social and cultural aspects related to food. The tastings and the physical space add to the experience. An excellent opportunity to connect with natural and healthy food.

Lucia Avila: There is no course that I have taken and that I did not like and put into practice. I love being able to eat and cook thinking about nutrients and not just food. Thanks Raw! Also now I can prepare cashews cheese and sourdough bread at home!

Agustina Beamonte: There are a variety of courses and seminars, the space where they are taught is very nice, they make logical comments and proposals that make you think about food culture. The recipes, well, when I put them into practice I felt that they were unspecific and lacked information (in the note that you take home). I recommend the courses, ask and take note.

Julieta Krischak: It is not only a workshop but it changes the way you see your diet and live in a healthy way not only with you but with the environment. I think a place like that does not go unnoticed. There are varied teachers and also with much knowledge and desire to make a food revolution. I loved the experience.

Sharon Schneider: Participate in the class of probiotic drinks, from my perspective the procedures are very well explained, assertive when communicating, without wandering. I would go again. Finally we were given nodules and a mother of kombucha.

Pachamama - Argentine Cooking Experience: what do users think?

Rachael Mueller: What an INCREDIBLE experience! Franco and Angela are so kind and generous. It felt like hanging out with friends while also cooking and eating amazing food. A lot of cooking classes are hands off, you watch while the chef teaches. Not this class. Now I know exactly how to make all these amazing foods at home! Highly recommend doing this class at the beginning of your trip, so you have time to then eat at all the best restaurants he recommends.

Hugo Lear: This was a really great and fun experience. Franco creates a really nice atmosphere with the group and the food we jointly cook is amazing

Mathew Daniel: Fantastic experience! Franco is great fun and gave us loads of tips and information on Argentine food and the food scene in Buenos Aires. And, of course, we made some delicious food :) I highly recommend the experience.

Alonso Araujo: Very rewarding experience not only because of the delicious food but also how it is presented and guided by Chef Franco.

Léa Berthoumieux: Excellent time, very good value for money, very nice and professional owners

Alexandre Aquino: Wonderful! Super recommend!

Argentina Cooking: what do users think?

victoriano valdez: Had a wonderful time with Shir! She is very welcoming and an excellent host. Had a great time making traditional empanadas and learning more about Argentinian culture. Would highly recommend :)

Crystal Lim: This experience was SO FUN! Shir was so full of knowledge about the local culture and history. She made making empanadas so easy and fun. She was well prepared, clean, and organized. It was completely worth doing and my three friends and I had an absolute blast. On top of all that… the empanadas were so DELICIOUS! Highly recommend!!

Sergio Szklanny: We had such a wonderful experience with our cooking instructor (and new friend) during our empanada cooking class in Buenos Aires. Shir met us at the Progreso Mercato In the city, where we had a fascinating tour of a very traditional Argentinian market. She purchased items for our cooking later, then we walked a short distance to her beautiful apartment. How lovely to sit and enjoy Mata Tea together in her home, and learn of this very popular tradition first hand. We then had hands on experience with all of the food preparation of the delicious empanadas, all the while learning more about history and traditions of Argentina. Shir is a very intelligent, creative, friendly and warm person. We were so happy to spend time with her in her home

Michelle Geib: I enjoyed this Argentine cooking class with a colleague while working in BA. Shirly was an excellent host and teacher. During the class, we had the chance to learn about and try mate, sample the best alfajors, make empanadas and craft a delicious dessert. This experience is definitely one of the best things to do in Buenos Aires! Highly recommend!

Yokessa Sandy: Superb 🤗 very happy

Gato Dumas - College of Gastronomy: what do users think?

Sofi Cappa: I am doing a course for amateurs in meat cooking. The building is very modern and the staff is super nice. The classes are excellent, the kitchens are spacious and very neat, and the raw materials of the highest quality. The prices are high but they are worth what they cost, I definitely recommend the experience.

Claudio: It is pathetic that one of the basic foundations of the school in careers is hygiene, and finding myself studying Professional Sommelier it is unpleasant to find myself studying 1 (ONE) time a week and not being able to enjoy that only day of studying, since I cannot take I finished the corresponding tasting because the only element used: GLASSES, they are always dirty, poorly washed, or perhaps not even washed, full of lip paint, marked and colored with wine, not being able to observe the sparkles, etc. Very unpleasant result. Another topic to be discussed is the use and abuse of plastics that they make for tastings, pairings, using them for minutes and having so many compostable options to stop damaging the planet with the time it takes for said material to degrade and being a "prestigious" institution as it is consider with even more reason they should set the example.

Jose Mariani: The barista course they offer is pathetic and is disrespectful to the students. You have to have a face of cement to offer a course without materials for students, a complaint that was reiterated on several occasions and was never resolved. The truth is that they talk about a renowned institution in response to the comments of complaints is a shame. A serious institution would never offer a course without materials, or water, or spoons, and especially if a teacher is not there, they are able to put another "teacher" who is not a barista and who has an obvious contempt for the profession. Students acting as teachers. They are charging what is charged to do a degree in a private institution and they offer a course without the minimum and indispensable. What they do is a shame and has no justification even if they respond by referring to a supposed prestige. A shame, I hope anyone who wants to sign up for the barista course reads this comment before. Shame on them.

Gaby Bianchi: Very bad barista school. They charge a fortune. They do not teach the basic contents, they do not control that the objectives are met and they argue with the students that everything is fine. They should have the humility to listen to students and improve service. Not recommended at all. Pure name only. You have to know how to keep the name and I see that there are many negative opinions

Maria Jose Mogollon: The truth is that as a foreigner I studied at the Gato Dumas institution and my experience at the institution has been fatal. The publications on the pages of the social networks both on Facebook and Instagram are all a hoax and it is a lie. They offer a trip when you are studying a career, be it pastry, bakery or gastronomy, all the trips are for wine tasters, nothing to do with what you are studying in the degree, they only send you to mendoza to taste wines, nothing to do with the main degree, be it pastry, bakery, or gastronomy, a totally high fee is paid monthly, which changes every month or two months, making inflation lucid, they are practically ahead of inflation I started paying $19,000 per month and today we are paying 40,000 per month plus another 35,000 tuition each year and it has only been a year since I started studying gastronomy, professional bakery and pastry, the truth is that the institution was not recommended, it is a hoax, only a façade, pure publicity. .

Bambi: I would like to know how much the Barista course is, since I cannot find the value on the official website, if someone is so kind as to provide me with the information, I would appreciate it.

Fernando Mendez Gutierrez: Unfortunately, I feel compelled to convey my dissatisfaction with having studied at the Gato Dumas institute, where I studied 3 different things or "careers" as they are called, 1st "gastronomic management" where improvisation and little institutional order from the first day was latent, there were some good teachers but there were also others who never measured up, not to mention that in this way one would pay all administration fees the first days of each month, the student department never knew this and they made him go to administration to bring them something that will certify the payments; 2nd professional in pastry, being an intensive modality, we were always deprived of the demonstrative classes and always jumped directly to the practices, which demonstrated the notable savings by the institute of work materials, as if the large sum of money paid was not enough. to the institute for each student; 3rd professional in gastronomy, it was where we had the best teachers, although there were details such as the unjustified decision to take away a set of cooking classes for game animals due to the decision of the alleged board of directors of the institute, despite the fact that by the date already We had paid for the entire course. The LACK of SERIOUSNESS was also notorious when despite having APPROVED and PAID everything, it took more than 1 year to deliver a paper where they symbolize a title THAT THEY HAD OFFERED ME with SEAL and VALIDATION from the Ministry of Education and I really doubt that it has any validity due to poor quality...

Norma Bsp: Absolutely disorganized administrative, they change the beginning of courses, they do not record payments and then they do not deliver a diploma. A disappointment. Lack of hygiene

IAG - Instituto Argentino de Gastronomía (Sucursal Recoleta): what do users think?

Johanna Chiariello: Excellent!! The teachers a 10. The quality of the raw material with which we carry out the practices is excellent. According to what is paid in quota. Everything works perfect. Impeccable videos. Very well equipped workshops. Nothing is missing... without a doubt the best school of gastronomy.

ALLAN MONTERO: The best Institute of Gastronomy in Argentina. I recommend the career of Gastronomic Professional.

Sonia Ramirez: IAG is no longer the prestigious institute it used to be, the best ? Not anymore . They are only waiting to raise the monthly payments...they continue with unjustified online classes, only some face-to-face when the career is purely practical, of course they save on supplies. It is not justified to pay 42,000 pesos a month for just a few kitchen practices. unfortunate...

Guille Pernuzzi: AWFUL ATTENTION, THEY NEVER ATTEND! If they serve you they have no information about anything, the page is not updated, they want to sell a course for which they have no idea of the modality, who dictates it, ahhh but they charge you $52,000 for the course and you have to pay for it in one go and if not they reach the quota goodbye your money.

Marina Lopez Aranzana: I tried to contact me by phone, no one answered, the message never arrived on WhatsApp, there have been no posts on Twitter for more than a year. All the data did not come out on the page. When communicating via instagram, they send the page and links that are impossible to open. When told, they answer with irony. It is unfortunate that as an entrance door they put such a bad predisposition and poorly trained people. Obviously my opinion of the place dropped and I looked for another institution to study. The quality of teaching begins in the treatment.

Andres Bjalke: Excellent attention. Beautiful teaching place. excellent teachers

Matías Saccomanno: I have no negative comments for this institution. I studied for two years and everything was excellent. The quality of products, materials and teachers is outstanding. All the teachers I had were very dedicated and explained with a very good predisposition. In short: if you have the chance, study at the IAG.

Roxana Abbate: Hello. I am trying to communicate by whatsapp, tel and mail without success. Which is the best option? I would like to know if I can still enroll and when is the start of the course. Thank you

Barbara G: Excellent teachers and place. I recommend 100% to anyone who is thinking of studying gastronomy or pastry. They have semi-face-to-face and virtual modality, with which they can study from anywhere in the country or in the world.

IGA Palermo | Instituto Gastronómico de las Américas: what do users think?

diego molina: Excellent place, excellent teacher Juli, very good vibes and quality of people, I who have no idea about bakery and pastry I feel very comfortable learning everything step by step and with a lot of passion !!!!

Guillermo Ramos: The facilities are very basic. They do not have air conditioning, so if someone wants to take a course outside of winter, it is not recommended at all. (Keep in mind that in the halls there are at least 5 degrees more temperature due to the ovens, irons and burners). The teachers are good and the level of the course is what is desired. The location of that headquarters is excellent.

florencia pazo: They are a disgrace at the administrative level, my colleagues have been waiting for their diplomas for a year and they said that they can only be given them by PDF, they charge a very expensive fee and they are not able to print the title. They never have the correct data in administration, they change the information depending on who you ask. Unlike other institutions you cannot take the preparations with you. The only remarkable thing is the teachers, the institution leaves a LOT to be desired

Maricel Rodriguez: My experience in iga was the best, from beginning to end, from the people at the reception, to the teachers, the kitchen, the location, in short...everything!!!! Travel from Chile to the courses, and without hesitation I would do it again. My only request is the possibility of doing the cooking course for celiacs in "intensive" mode (in one week for example). Grace spot everything !!!!.

Agustina Sol Perez: They say they are flexible and they are not flexible, they do not notify when they are going to raise the price, they do not notify the schedules until the courses are garbage. BEWARE if you plan to study gastronomy in a place as sloppy as they are only interested in money, nor are the classes useful to you

Ruben Genova: Appyce is an excellent gastronomic teaching association, I recommend it. Today I finished my 4th course. Thanks for everything..

Facundo Rodriguez Callegari: Very good facilities and content. Prices very according to the needs. They provide uniform, tools and everything necessary for classes. If we compare it with other gastronomy schools, it has nothing to envy to the "top" ones that come out more than triple and are mostly just a name or brand. More than recommended Appyce !!

Marcelo Martinez: Excellent school and great teachers!

enrique albérto lopez: I liked it a lot, they treated me very well and answered all my questions, thanks Apyce!
