Norma´s Argentina Cooking Classes: what do users think?

Patricia Collins: Norma is a lovely and very gracious teacher who invited us into her lovely home. She was totally prepared for our class and gave clear, personal instruction. The dishes we prepared were delectable. Highly recommend Norma’s Argentina Cooking Classes!
Response: Thank you so much for your wonderful review Patricia! I was very glad to meet you and Chris and teach you to prepare our specialties! Best wishes. Norma

Crystal Parker: My family and I took this Cooking class not knowing what to expect. We learned a lot and enjoyed ourselves in the process. We made homemade beef empanadas, lentil stew, alfajores (caramel cookies) and Mate. Everything was delicious and fun. The empanadas were so good to the point where I had them at restaurants and wasn't impressed. I would yell out, "They need Norma!" You will not be disappointed in this class. It was worth every penny...or shall I say, "PESO?" LOL
Response: Thank you so much Crystal for taking the time to write such a wonderful review! I am so glad that you and your family had a memorable Argentine Cooking experience in my home and I look forward to meeting you again on your future travels! The pictures you posted are amazing! Thank you. Norma

Donna Aubry: Norma was wonderful. Made us feel like we were in our own home. Do not miss this class. We made empanadas, lentil stew, and alfajores with mate and great conversation. The views of the city were wonderful too. Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back and learn more.

Response: Thank you so much for this great review. I felt the same like family, sharing this experience in my home makes it very special.

Charles Berghausen: Norma's cooking class was super fun! I went with my American family of 7. She taught us how to fold beef empanadas, to make the filling, and to cook lentil & chorizo stew. Everything was delicious, as were the Malbec and mate, which we learned to pass around as Argentinian families do. Her apartment was also very pleasant and offered a great view of western Palermo. Would definitely recommend 🤩

Tierra Negra Cooking Classes: what do users think?

Holly Prendeville: A lovely experience. We really enjoyed our afternoon empanada cooking class with Manuel and Veronica. We enjoy cooking and baking and found this class to be informative and fun. Manuel is a very knowledgeable chef and great instructor. Veronica taught us about wines in Argentina. We learned and enjoyed a new type of wine. Both are very welcoming. One in our class didn't cook much himself and seemed to enjoy the class as well. So it is well suited to a variety of skill levels. Enjoy!
Response: Thank you very much Holly for reviewing your experience with us! Kind regards!

Ka-Nic Loosbrock Parker: Best experience in Buenos Aires by far. Manuel and Veronica are the perfect hosts and teachers--giving us a perfect introduction to Argentinian culture through their food and wine. We took a private street food class due to being off schedule--and we're glad we did--and had both of them to ourselves. It felt less like a class and more like just hanging around with old friends.
Response: Thank you guys so much for spending the evening with us! We loved meeting you both! More than welcome any other time you make it to BA!

Tanner Smith: Veronica and Manuel are a delight! There home is open and inviting and the class is fun and informative. The empanada class includes excellent wine paired for the dishes you create. Delicious!
Response: Thank you for your review! Cheers!

Carter Wright: The perfect end to our trip! The best empanadas we had in South America (and we had a lot) and it was so fun having a hand in making them. Excited to try the recipe at home. Learned a lot about the food culture of Argentina (with wonderful tidbits of history), drank great wine, and had wonderful conversation. The hosts speak fluent English, and extremely kind and welcoming. Wish we had taken the class at the beginning of our trip to have a better understanding of the food.
Response: Thank you very much Carter for reviewing your experience with us! We really appreciate your words and it encourages us to get better class after class! Cheers!

steam shovel: Took a cooking class, empanada making with Veronica and Manuel who own Tierra Negra Great, food and learned a lot about the Argentine culture. My wife and I enjoy traveling and cooking at home and have learned taking classes away home is not only educational, but a great way to spend time having lunch and dinner. It Is located in an apartment that has a great, comfortable set up. Better than any other class, I’ve taken about 25. Also in a great part of the city They limit amount of people so it is more than interactive and you can keep asking questions. Anyone going Argentina will realize empanadas are a staple there and eating ones you made is fantastic. Manuel Is a passionate cook and Veronica is a sommelier who serves and pairs local wines. I would highly recommend the classes. Don’t go to restaurants, taking great cooking classes and enjoy and learn.
Response: Hi guys! Thank you very much for your review! Mission accomplished :) now the recipes are your! Cheers!

Susan Bloomfield: Took this class yesterday and even though I don't like to cook, Manuel made it fun and easy to prepare the delicious empanadas. The best I've ever had. Both he and Veronica are excellent and gracious hosts. I would recommend this class.
Response: Hi Susan, thank you very much for your review! We loved having you both cooking with us and I’m so happy to hear that you had the best empanadas!!! 😃 Cheers!

Jack Jensen: Fantastic empanada cooking class. The hosts were great and explained everything in an easy to understand manner. We made the dough from scratch while Manuel made the fillings. We then filled our dough rounds and they baked them for us. The empanadas were then served with some great wine and were delicious. I hope I can do this well when I try to make them when I get home.
Response: Thank you so much Jack for choosing us and for this great reviews! Please try the recipes back home and send us some pictures ;-) Cheers!

Cheryl Baldwin: Delightful evening learning how to making choripan and alfajores. As a none cook I loved getting my hands in the dough and creating something myself. Veronica and Manuel were lovely hosts full of information and charizma. Excellent experience!
Response: Thank you very much for your review! As you say you dont need to be an skilled chef to attend the class! All you need is will to learn and have an informative, fun experience! Cheers!

Ed Chan: I went with my family today and had an incredible experience! My 10 yr old daughter and 8 yr old son will remember this experience for a long time. If your traveling with kids in Buenos Aires, this was the only cooking class that would accommodate. I highly recommend it.
Response: Hi Ed, thank you very much for your review! We loved having you all cooking with us! Kind regards and you are more than welcome any other time you make it to Ba. Cheers!

Eleanor Carlisle: Fantastic hosts and a great way to spend an evening while in Buenos Aires. Would definitely recommend.
Response: Hi Eleanor, thank you so much for reviewing the experience!!! Cheers! :)

The Asado Experience - Premium Steak: what do users think?

Agata Serrano: My husband and I participated in the Asado experience and it was truly a highlight to our stay in Buenos Aires. The setting and environment were elegant yet welcoming. The chef was very knowledgeable and friendly. The food was simply amazing, with fresh, quality ingredients and we got to learn about the Asado tradition for Argentinians. I would definitely recommend anyone visiting Buenos Aires to do the Asado Experience!
Response: Thank you very much Agata! Our Co Host Lucia enjoyed a lot meeting you and Luis! We are very happy the experience was a highlight of your trip and we are looking forward to your next visit to BA! Cheers - The Asado Experience Team.

Ken Polydor: This was an amazing experience. Belen and Lou were awesome hosts. My friend and I had a blast. It was really fun cooking with them. They make the experience very enjoyable. The food was premium quality and full of flavor. I would definitely recommend.
Response: Thank you very much Ken! Looking forward to your next visit to BA! Hope we can enjoy another Asado!

Jeffrey Orlowski: Anyone visiting Buenos Aires should book this experience. Belen, the proprietor, hostess, and grill master/mistress is warm, wonderful, and takes you on a terrific three hour journey. From how to light the coals and wood to how to make the Chimichurri, from how to season the meats to how to check the temperature of a tenderloin without slicing or poking, you learn more than you can imagine about Asado. And the food…the food is exceptional. The best cuts of meat, the freshest vegetables, and all served with a lovely Malbec (take the upgraded wine option!). Experienced outside on the patio of a lovely Buenos Aires home, with help from Tessie and Olivia, this was an evening we will never forget and hope to come back for again!
Response: Jeff! Thank you so much for a beautiful evening together sharing The Asado Experience! We loved how you participated during the whole process of cooking! Let’s keep in touch! I will let you know when I’m in US and we will share more Asados! Best, Belen

Marta Bezoari: We are back home after an incredible first trip to Buenos Aires. Reflecting back on a week of fun, food and discoveries, The Asado Experience by far rose to the top of our memory list. This is not your typical cooking class; it is a once in a lifetime opportunity, where you are invited to share in a uniquely authentic experience in a local Argentinian home by a local asado expert or asadora. We love to make food at home and were looking to bring back some new skills in the art of asado-style grilling. What we got was that and so much more - Belen is the ultimate host; it is impossible not to adore her from the get-go and a treat to spend an evening in her company. We not only devoured premium cuts of the highest quality, we also devoured up her life stories growing up in Buenos Aires. We felt truly hosted and welcomed to an intimate dinner party with a close friend. The evening included the food making of course, but also ample culinary tips and tricks, exchanging stories of our different cultures and experiences, and advice for the rest of our trip. Belen taught us about the best grilling equipment to use, how to assess the readiness of what we were cooking without the use of thermometers or cutting into it, how to adapt the grilling to a stove or oven, how to season the food, preparing homemade sauces and what sides would be served in an Argentine home. She treated us to delicious, premium wine from the region, and we finished the night with a very local, sweet treat. No detail was overlooked; she takes the time and care to source the finest ingredients locally and the evening is meticulously and thoughtfully planned and executed, from the order and sequence of the courses to the spacing to allow you to properly enjoy each different cut. We felt like the experience was truly unique and tailored to us, our interests and our tastes. We couldn't stop talking about the evening for the rest of the trip and even now on our return home -- we've already bought some of the same cuts back home and are excited to test what we learned. If you are in Buenos Aires, we highly recommend an evening with The Asado Experience. You won't regret it!

Dora Kerekes: We had a great time at the Asado Experience. We spent a memorable evening experiencing a real Sunday Asado and getting to know some nice people. The food was delicious and Zelmi and Belen were great hosts.
Response: Thank you very much Dora and Casper for joining the asado experience. It’s always a pleasure to meet new people and share the passion we have for Asado, more than the meat, the meeting around the fire, cooking together and getting to know each other. Hope we see you soon again in Buenos Aires! The Asado Experience Team.

Isabel S: Highly recommend! I love how Belen brings people together and create this unique experience. Aside from delicious food, you learn l things like how to start the fire, and knowledge about the materials. There’re lots of wine too and the dessert is amazing. I really love it.
Response: Thank you! Hope to host you again!

Nathalie Jennersten Gill: Very very nice experience. All the typical Argentinan food you could imagine, we learn all about the different cuts of meat and how to manage the fire. Great for an event with friends. Thank you Belen for a beautiful evening and location.
Response: Thank you!

Bradley Powers: We had the most incredible experience with Belen and Zelmi at the Asado Experience. The food was incredible, the atmosphere magical, and the opportunity to meet fellow travelers in such a great setting was priceless. Anyone who sees this review should book right away! You would be missing out otherwise!
Response: Thank you very much Brad and Kennedy for such a beautiful evening together sharing the best Asado! Hope we can see each other again and enjoy more premium Argentine cuts of meat and of course delicious wine! Cheers!

Hayley Stevens: The Asado Experience was such a highlight of our South American trip. Belu and her team were so kind, informative, and eager to teach us about the delicious Argentine asado. The meal was absolutely outstanding and we learned so much. We HIGHLY recommend this to anyone visiting Buenos Aires. Thank you, Belu and team!
Response: Thank you very much Hayley for sharing The Asado Experience with us! Was a pleasure to meet you and your partner and hope we see each other again soon! Looking forward to see if you prepare your Chimichurri back home. Cheers!

Rachel Fearn: Had such an amazing time! We did this excursion on Thanksgiving and we're absolutely thrilled with the experience! There were 3 asado experts who led us through the entire cooking class and were amazing. They taught us about the Argentinian culture, helped cook us an incredible meal, all while trying to get to know each and every one of us. Overall, one of my favorite things I've done in Argentina and could not recommend enough!
Response: Thank you Rachel! It was a pleasure for our team to spend Thanksgiving dinner with your family! It was also an honor to share all our passion for Asado ! Hope to see you and your family soon ! The Asado Experience Team

IAG - Argentine Institute of Gastronomy (Barrio Norte branch): what do users think?

Florencia Quintela: Honored to study here, the level of the teachers, the facilities, the available online material is a luxury ... Unlike something I read here, I think they adapted well to the new normal due to the pandemic. I never had a problem, happy to be able to live this experience. The fee is high but it makes sense, it is what usually happens with excellent services.

daniel ayala: The best place to learn excellent teachers facilities

Eva Isa: It is the second time that I try to get information for the pastry course (duration and costs) and they tell me to go register on the web. I DO NOT WANT TO REGISTER I WANT INFO, STOP COPYING, PASTE AND SENDING THE SAME MESSAGE TO EVERYONE WITHOUT READING WHAT YOU ARE ASKING. very bad attention

Melisa Fimiani: First class of pastry for events!! One thousand

Lucia Goyanes Fafian: The best gastronomy institute in Argentina and I dare say that also in all of Latin America. The teachers and professors have an incredible level, the classes are super entertaining and a lot of learning. They have internships in Buenos Aires throughout the course of the degree and also abroad. The study plans are very complete and the educational level is superior

cristian grecco: excellent attention

Bernardo Vera: Very good school, excellent teams and one teacher that make me go to class, I'm really happy with the school.

Franco Stefano Zamponi: The best of gastronomy. They should improve their virtual platforms

Joaquín Mazzeo: Best cooking school in Latin America. With a national and international job bank. Graduated from Gastronomic Professional.

Victoria: They removed my negative review. Are they going to censor something else from their students? What a disgrace, how are they handling themselves?

Crudo Clases de Cocina: what do users think?

Malena Camila: We took a course on raw food. The recipes were delicious and it was a great experience overall. The instructor could have a better, more polite, approach I believe.
Response: Thank you very much for your review . We are glad that you enjoyed the class and we work to improve every day.

Lucia Chiesa: I started my process of ditching the meat and giving the plants a chance. I did the plant-based food course and loved it! It's really worth it, it opens your eyes to many healthy food options that you don't know about. Maximo is a very good chef explaining and showing each ingredient he uses. Super recommended, now due to the whole situation of the pandemic they are not giving face-to-face classes. But through the website they can do them quietly from their homes.
Response: Thank you Lucia for your time and your words.

Adri Raba: Make cheese course based on seeds and other vegetables, drinks and fermented preparations. Experienced teachers and a lovely place.

agustina salvado: This place is all that is good!! Wonderful, much more than a cooking class! It's big, big, very big!

Yanel Ana Mangano: Excellent place to acquire new knowledge and promote a change in diet. Maximum CoML both Felipe are excellent professionals, who note that enjoy what they do and share. Both are very didactic. All staff are excellent. It is worth investing time and energy in crude courses.

Sergio Wisner: The classes are super interesting, taught by professionals who, in addition to recipes, offer an explanatory framework on social and cultural aspects related to food. The tastings and the physical space add to the experience. An excellent opportunity to connect with natural and healthy food.

Lucia Avila: There is no course that I have taken and that I did not like and put into practice. I love being able to eat and cook thinking about nutrients and not just food. Thanks Raw! Also now I can prepare cashews cheese and sourdough bread at home!
Response: Thank you Lucy!! for your time and generosity. Help us keep working! We wait for you, always.

Agustina Beamonte: There are a variety of courses and seminars, the space where they are taught is very nice, they make logical comments and proposals that make you think about food culture. The recipes, well, when I put them into practice I felt that they were unspecific and lacked information (in the note that you take home). I recommend the courses, ask and take note.
Response: Thank you, Agustina, for your comment to help us improve our practice.

Julieta Krischak: It is not only a workshop but it changes the way you see your diet and live in a healthy way not only with you but with the environment. I think a place like that does not go unnoticed. There are varied teachers and also with much knowledge and desire to make a food revolution. I loved the experience.

Sharon Schneider: Participate in the class of probiotic drinks, from my perspective the procedures are very well explained, assertive when communicating, without wandering. I would go again. Finally we were given nodules and a mother of kombucha.

Rachael Mueller: What an INCREDIBLE experience! Franco and Angela are so kind and generous. It felt like hanging out with friends while also cooking and eating amazing food. A lot of cooking classes are hands off, you watch while the chef teaches. Not this class. Now I know exactly how to make all these amazing foods at home! Highly recommend doing this class at the beginning of your trip, so you have time to then eat at all the best restaurants he recommends.
Response: Thanks Rachael for coming =) We wish you the best for your last days in Buenos Aires!

Hugo Lear: This was a really great and fun experience. Franco creates a really nice atmosphere with the group and the food we jointly cook is amazing
Response: Thanks for coming Hugo and having a great time!!!! Good luck with the rest of your trip =)

Mathew Daniel: Fantastic experience! Franco is great fun and gave us loads of tips and information on Argentine food and the food scene in Buenos Aires. And, of course, we made some delicious food :) I highly recommend the experience.
Response: Thank you Mathew for sharing a great class!!!

Alonso Araujo: Very rewarding experience not only because of the delicious food but also how it is presented and guided by Chef Franco.
Response: Thank you very much Alonso!!!! A pleasure to have received you in our experience =)

Léa Berthoumieux: Excellent time, very good value for money, very nice and professional owners
Response: Thanks Lea for joining our experience and having both of you such a great time with us!!!

victoriano valdez: Had a wonderful time with Shir! She is very welcoming and an excellent host. Had a great time making traditional empanadas and learning more about Argentinian culture. Would highly recommend :)

Liliana Goldweic: We had a wonderful day with Shir in BA. The gourmet market was full of wonderful fresh food, and our visit was followed by a scenic stroll through the historic English neighbourhood. We then went up to Shir's immaculate apartment, where we learned how to make two types of empanadas, and toss pancakes like a pro. Then we ate local cakes, a cheese and meat platter, drank wine, ate our freshly made empanadas and finished off with pancakes and big spoonfuls of dulce de leche. Shir was great company and the perfect host, as were the other two guests. What a great day out! Highly recommended.

Crystal Lim: This experience was SO FUN! Shir was so full of knowledge about the local culture and history. She made making empanadas so easy and fun. She was well prepared, clean, and organized. It was completely worth doing and my three friends and I had an absolute blast. On top of all that… the empanadas were so DELICIOUS! Highly recommend!!

Sergio Szklanny: We had such a wonderful experience with our cooking instructor (and new friend) during our empanada cooking class in Buenos Aires. Shir met us at the Progreso Mercato In the city, where we had a fascinating tour of a very traditional Argentinian market. She purchased items for our cooking later, then we walked a short distance to her beautiful apartment. How lovely to sit and enjoy Mata Tea together in her home, and learn of this very popular tradition first hand. We then had hands on experience with all of the food preparation of the delicious empanadas, all the while learning more about history and traditions of Argentina. Shir is a very intelligent, creative, friendly and warm person. We were so happy to spend time with her in her home

Ruth Tupper: My family and I had the best day cooking with the lovely Shir! This is so much more than just a cooking class. We learnt so much about Argentinian food, history and culture. The food we made and ate was all delicious! In addition to the empanadas and pancakes we made, Shir gave us mate, the best alfajores, a picada (meat and cheese) board and some lovely wine. The tour through the local food market was a nice addition. Can't recommend highly enough!

Daniela Szklanny: This was an authentic and wonderful Argentinian culinary experience! Shirly is a great instructor -- kind, patient, helpful, informative, accommodating. First we toured her neighborhood market and purchased fresh ingredients for our cooking class. Then our group of four, walked to Shirly's apartment nearby. Shirly did a great job explaining what we were doing and provided clear instructions. The recipe booklet was very help helpful. Mate tea and cheese/salami snacks were a nice, authentic experience. The meat and corn empanadas and dulce de leche pancakes for dessert were amazing! Shirly is very welcoming and made everyone feel included. Don't miss this awesome opportunity and fun way to spend the day!!

Michelle Geib: I enjoyed this Argentine cooking class with a colleague while working in BA. Shirly was an excellent host and teacher. During the class, we had the chance to learn about and try mate, sample the best alfajors, make empanadas and craft a delicious dessert. This experience is definitely one of the best things to do in Buenos Aires! Highly recommend!

Yokessa Sandy: Superb 🤗 very happy

Response: Dear Kaio, thank you very much for what you say, I really enjoyed the classes we did and I am accompanying you on this trip you are doing through Latin America thanks to instagram. Great pleasure and memory of the talks in Spanish and Portuguese, as I told you and I repeat, you are missed.

El Poeta Enigmático: I took the spice course and there is a before and after in my experience as an amateur in the kitchen. I really recommend this course for what you learn, for the vibe, the pedagogy and for Cecilia's excellent predisposition. If you like cooking and, above all, eating, you cannot fail to discover this new dimension of flavors provided by spices and herbs well applied by someone who clearly knows them perfectly. A ten
Response: What a nice review!!! Honestly, it makes me very happy that we have achieved the objective of the course, which is exactly what you describe. And we also had a lot of fun :-) I hope many wpp with photos of those spicy foods. Thanks a lot

Claudio Chiaromonte: In addition to being a very very nice person, she is very clear and very didactic. He clearly knows a lot and it shows that his knowledge transcends the borders of Argentina. In addition to all this, and like any good teacher, he enjoys teaching and holds nothing back. Thank you very much Cecilia! I'm so glad I met you
Response: Total pleasure to read your review, it is very nice when there is such a good connection. To give a lot of flavor and aroma to your kitchen :-)

Coni Sar: Excellent class! Cecilia makes the classes very interesting and pleasant. She was very patient and attentive with me. His knowledge of cooking is evident. In just one class you learn a lot. Highly recommended!!
Response: Thank you very much Constanza, it is very nice that you are beginning to discover the techniques and secrets of cooking with our classes. I am sure that you will shine and that knowing how to cook will be useful to you throughout your life.

Britos Susana: Exquisite and perfectly presented pieces of Sushi that my husband made during the course he took with Cecilia. It is worth the joy that you keep learning! Thank you Cecilia!!
Response: Oh thank you very much! It's great to read such a review from a student's wife :-) To continue then to reap applause

Electra Moore: I feel grateful, confident and excited to live this learning experience at the hands of Cecilia. It is for me, a generous, experienced person, and with a born teaching ability!! His clarity to transmit is remarkable, and his attitude and dedication are enormous!! His passion and love for what he does is evident and I appreciate it very much!! Thank you!!!
Response: Thank you, thank you, thank you Electra. It is very gratifying to know that you are so satisfied with our classes.🤗🤗🤗

IGA Flores | Instituto Gastronómico de las Américas: what do users think?

Candela Sappia: If you are looking for training in the field of gastronomy, IGA is an excellent option! They offer short courses at a good cost, with raw material and materials included. They also dictate careers so that you can become a professional. Totally satisfied with his teaching!

Jorge Salinas: Hello everyone, it is very nice for me to be able to recommend the institute that trained me and gave me the best teachings. They were always in every requirement, both teachers and administrative and cleaning staff. If you are looking for options, this is your opportunity. Thank you very much IGA FLORES for everything.
Response: Hello Jorge! Thank you very much for your recommendation! It is a pleasure to have students like you! We hope to see you again soon in our kitchens!

Zahira Belly: The best school, the best teacher Sergio Moro! Beautiful year spent here

Williams Lopez: It's a great place. The space, attention, teaching and study material are of very good quality. It is worth what it costs and more.

Nayla Gomez: The classes are VERY GOOD AND THE ATTENTION EXCELLENT 👍 👌

Miriam Fotti: It was a unique experience, doing 2 races together was something indescribable.
Response: Thank you for your comment Miriam! It was a pleasure having you as a student!

Maru Zabala: I'm taking a bakery and pastry course right now and I plan to finish it because I've already invested a lot of money, but honestly nothing is what they tell you when you sign up. Of 4 recipes you learn 1... because they let you make only one, no technique is explained, they give you the recipe and get ready and do it. (You can ask, but it is not the idea of the course, the idea was that they teach me). They didn't even show us where things are, or teach you how to use anything. You have to fix it on your own with the recipe and the materials, look for them on your own, the truth is that I am disappointed, I will not take another course in this place.

Mirta Prime: Excellent attention. Very good seminar with very good teachers.

Milagros Zárate: The classes of 10 the attention of the girls at the entrance great

Yamel Gonzalez: I signed up for a beginner's baking and pastry course. At the moment I signed up they told me that they explained everything to us, it was very simple and that we should not take anything. When we went to the first class they only distributed 4 reviews with a little explanation of how it should be and nothing more. I don't know if it was due to the number of people or the disorder, but nothing was taught, we were simply a lot of people making recipes as we thought they were, at no time did the teacher or someone show us how to do some technique or the steps to make a recipe. . At the end we could not take what we had done, the teacher did not provoke anything that was done because he had already eaten in the previous classes and he told us that the food made was distributed to the reception girls. We were also asked to buy a cloth, a flannel and a towel, which I had to buy at the moment before starting the course. In conclusion I paid to learn how to make a recipe, to gain more knowledge and I did not get any of that. It was just a very expensive course where they ended up buying things that I could have brought from home. I'm glad I didn't pay for the entire course

Gato Dumas - College of Gastronomy: what do users think?

Sarah de Oliveira: It is impressive the lack of respect of this institution with the students and course of Barismo. It makes me sad to see the cooking courses complete and with all the materials that in the end, the high price is worth it. But we baristas have been CONSTANTLY without water, without specialty coffee, without tools to study. When the course got better, it got better because the teacher started to bring the instruments from his own home and we students started to take different coffees to have the classes. If we hadn't done that, we'd be out of class. A shame, a lack of interest and respect. And finally, a lack of ethics. Because we pay more than 22 thousand pesos for classes that the students and teacher are the ones who buy materials to teach. I thank the teacher for his effort and teaching. This institution does not have a minimum of respect for its bar students.! We've sent emails, and we've communicated several times about the situation and NEVER BEEN SOLVED. We continued on the course because Profesor Rodrigo is a genius and his colleagues buy and bring coffees and other materials. Because the institution is a total farce!

Sofi Cappa: I am doing a course for amateurs in meat cooking. The building is very modern and the staff is super nice. The classes are excellent, the kitchens are spacious and very neat, and the raw materials of the highest quality. The prices are high but they are worth what they cost, I definitely recommend the experience.
Response: Thank you Sofi for your review and recommendation. Cheers

Claudio: It is pathetic that one of the basic foundations of the school in careers is hygiene, and finding myself studying Professional Sommelier it is unpleasant to find myself studying 1 (ONE) time a week and not being able to enjoy that only day of studying, since I cannot take I finished the corresponding tasting because the only element used: GLASSES, they are always dirty, poorly washed, or perhaps not even washed, full of lip paint, marked and colored with wine, not being able to observe the sparkles, etc. Very unpleasant result. Another topic to be discussed is the use and abuse of plastics that they make for tastings, pairings, using them for minutes and having so many compostable options to stop damaging the planet with the time it takes for said material to degrade and being a "prestigious" institution as it is consider with even more reason they should set the example.

Jose Mariani: The barista course they offer is pathetic and is disrespectful to the students. You have to have a face of cement to offer a course without materials for students, a complaint that was reiterated on several occasions and was never resolved. The truth is that they talk about a renowned institution in response to the comments of complaints is a shame. A serious institution would never offer a course without materials, or water, or spoons, and especially if a teacher is not there, they are able to put another "teacher" who is not a barista and who has an obvious contempt for the profession. Students acting as teachers. They are charging what is charged to do a degree in a private institution and they offer a course without the minimum and indispensable. What they do is a shame and has no justification even if they respond by referring to a supposed prestige. A shame, I hope anyone who wants to sign up for the barista course reads this comment before. Shame on them.
Response: Dear Jose, The service may have flaws or imperfections as in all areas since we are human beings but the balance is always positive in all our courses. The training we offer in barista is the most complete in the country and the only institution that offers a certification. We are surprised by your level of anger after a few classes but as always, we invite you to dialogue to improve the course, if that is your goal. Greetings. Gato Dumas Institute.

Gaby Bianchi: Very bad barista school. They charge a fortune. They do not teach the basic contents, they do not control that the objectives are met and they argue with the students that everything is fine. They should have the humility to listen to students and improve service. Not recommended at all. Pure name only. You have to know how to keep the name and I see that there are many negative opinions
Response: Dear Gabriella, We always respond to the claims of our students, we are always here to listen to them. We understand that we have not met your expectations about the quarterly Barista course. Our institution has 25 years of experience, thousands of graduates satisfied with our education are the ones who make what our name is. Best regards Gato Dumas Institute

Maria Jose Mogollon: The truth is that as a foreigner I studied at the Gato Dumas institution and my experience at the institution has been fatal. The publications on the pages of the social networks both on Facebook and Instagram are all a hoax and it is a lie. They offer a trip when you are studying a career, be it pastry, bakery or gastronomy, all the trips are for wine tasters, nothing to do with what you are studying in the degree, they only send you to mendoza to taste wines, nothing to do with the main degree, be it pastry, bakery, or gastronomy, a totally high fee is paid monthly, which changes every month or two months, making inflation lucid, they are practically ahead of inflation I started paying $19,000 per month and today we are paying 40,000 per month plus another 35,000 tuition each year and it has only been a year since I started studying gastronomy, professional bakery and pastry, the truth is that the institution was not recommended, it is a hoax, only a façade, pure publicity. .
Response: Good evening María Jose, we cannot find students with your name, however you can write to us so that we can advise you on what you need from our Student Department if you are registered. That you are from where you are to us does not make any difference. We actually make trips to Mendoza every year, mainly for our sommelier students and not just to taste wines, it's much more, if you didn't go we recommend it because it's incredible. Soon you will have news of the trip to France 2023 too, follow us on the networks! Do you study Gastronomy or Pastry? because it is not understood which course you take and the values of our fees depend on the course/course you take. It is difficult to understand why we deceive you, but do not hesitate to contact us so we can talk and give you the answers you need. Greetings. Gato Dumas Institute.

Bambi: I would like to know how much the Barista course is, since I cannot find the value on the official website, if someone is so kind as to provide me with the information, I would appreciate it.
Response: Hello!! You can write to us at info@gatodumas.com and we will send you all the information about the Barista program. Regards!!

Fernando Mendez Gutierrez: Unfortunately, I feel compelled to convey my dissatisfaction with having studied at the Gato Dumas institute, where I studied 3 different things or "careers" as they are called, 1st "gastronomic management" where improvisation and little institutional order from the first day was latent, there were some good teachers but there were also others who never measured up, not to mention that in this way one would pay all administration fees the first days of each month, the student department never knew this and they made him go to administration to bring them something that will certify the payments; 2nd professional in pastry, being an intensive modality, we were always deprived of the demonstrative classes and always jumped directly to the practices, which demonstrated the notable savings by the institute of work materials, as if the large sum of money paid was not enough. to the institute for each student; 3rd professional in gastronomy, it was where we had the best teachers, although there were details such as the unjustified decision to take away a set of cooking classes for game animals due to the decision of the alleged board of directors of the institute, despite the fact that by the date already We had paid for the entire course. The LACK of SERIOUSNESS was also notorious when despite having APPROVED and PAID everything, it took more than 1 year to deliver a paper where they symbolize a title THAT THEY HAD OFFERED ME with SEAL and VALIDATION from the Ministry of Education and I really doubt that it has any validity due to poor quality...
Response: Dear Ferdinand, Your review really surprises us, month after month you have chosen us again to train with us. What you have done is called a professional training course, and you chose us to carry out three courses. Clearly, in the education service, each one has their own expectations and we assume that we have fulfilled some of yours so that you have chosen us repeatedly. We will not stop to debate your points because we do not believe that it is the means to do it, but the doors of the institute will always be open for you to be able to do so. The positive thing is that your professional career will be based on top-of-the-line professional training and surely over the years you will be able to appreciate it better. We do not doubt that in these times of change, improvisation and innovation we could have made mistakes but we have given everything possible to continue maintaining the quality service we offer. We are backed by our 25 years of experience and the thousands of graduates who, like you, today lead the gastronomic industry. This is your house of studies, you belong to it and we do it together. All the best Gato Dumas Institute.

Marce Fechi: I deeply regret that this institute is not up to the circumstances being a prestigious place and does not meet the basic needs of the current year's barista course. Not recommendable.
Response: We are sorry that you had a bad experience in our course. We appreciate your comment and we are working to improve ourselves. All the best.

Norma Bsp: Absolutely disorganized administrative, they change the beginning of courses, they do not record payments and then they do not deliver a diploma. A disappointment. Lack of hygiene

IAG - Instituto Argentino de Gastronomía (Sucursal Recoleta): what do users think?

Johanna Chiariello: Excellent!! The teachers a 10. The quality of the raw material with which we carry out the practices is excellent. According to what is paid in quota. Everything works perfect. Impeccable videos. Very well equipped workshops. Nothing is missing... without a doubt the best school of gastronomy.

ALLAN MONTERO: The best Institute of Gastronomy in Argentina. I recommend the career of Gastronomic Professional.

Umi Kokoro: The quota from December 2021 to August 2022 increased by 70%. We agree that we live in Argentina, but in 8 months 70% is, at least, abusive. The platform is very bad, slow and operationally very uncomfortable. There are errors in the recipes. The recipes say one thing and the videos another. The virtual subject classes are not classes, it is material and one is self-taught because there are self-assessments with answers but there are other exercises that you never know if you did them well and the seminars are very few on working days and hours. Then there are surprises in the endings. There is not even one class per unit (for example) to study, ask questions, do exercises, etc. There was 1 in the entire quarter. They have so many messes (sending the wrong links for classes or exams, virtual classes that start 40 minutes later due to technical problems). I could go on much longer. We started with a subject program and they changed it. They misinform (we are communicating through a Whapp of students, thanks technology!). Trying to communicate by phone is harmful to health. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT. It is better to try other institutions because, unfortunately, it is far from the prestige it once had. And this semi-attendance gave them the opportunity to greatly increase the number of students but instead of improving quality and service, they degraded it. That's a lot of money for such indolence.

Sonia Ramirez: IAG is no longer the prestigious institute it used to be, the best ? Not anymore . They are only waiting to raise the monthly payments...they continue with unjustified online classes, only some face-to-face when the career is purely practical, of course they save on supplies. It is not justified to pay 42,000 pesos a month for just a few kitchen practices. unfortunate...

Guille Pernuzzi: AWFUL ATTENTION, THEY NEVER ATTEND! If they serve you they have no information about anything, the page is not updated, they want to sell a course for which they have no idea of the modality, who dictates it, ahhh but they charge you $52,000 for the course and you have to pay for it in one go and if not they reach the quota goodbye your money.

Marina Lopez Aranzana: I tried to contact me by phone, no one answered, the message never arrived on WhatsApp, there have been no posts on Twitter for more than a year. All the data did not come out on the page. When communicating via instagram, they send the page and links that are impossible to open. When told, they answer with irony. It is unfortunate that as an entrance door they put such a bad predisposition and poorly trained people. Obviously my opinion of the place dropped and I looked for another institution to study. The quality of teaching begins in the treatment.

Andres Bjalke: Excellent attention. Beautiful teaching place. excellent teachers

Matías Saccomanno: I have no negative comments for this institution. I studied for two years and everything was excellent. The quality of products, materials and teachers is outstanding. All the teachers I had were very dedicated and explained with a very good predisposition. In short: if you have the chance, study at the IAG.

Roxana Abbate: Hello. I am trying to communicate by whatsapp, tel and mail without success. Which is the best option? I would like to know if I can still enroll and when is the start of the course. Thank you

Barbara G: Excellent teachers and place. I recommend 100% to anyone who is thinking of studying gastronomy or pastry. They have semi-face-to-face and virtual modality, with which they can study from anywhere in the country or in the world.

IGA Palermo | Instituto Gastronómico de las Américas: what do users think?

diego molina: Excellent place, excellent teacher Juli, very good vibes and quality of people, I who have no idea about bakery and pastry I feel very comfortable learning everything step by step and with a lot of passion !!!!

Yamila Lopez: I was scammed by these people, I paid the tuition and when I wanted to unsubscribe because of the distance they give me a thousand turns. When I want to unsubscribe for financial reasons for the third time, they ask me to pay the first installment to REMOVE ME. I mean...I didn't even start the course, I'm not going to pay to unsubscribe to a place I'm not going to go to, because it's far away and I don't have that money. It is a scam and a shame. I'm going to report them.
Response: Dear Yamila, thank you for writing to us! We are very sorry that the venue is far away for you. At the time of counseling/registration, our Academic Advisors detail the branch and what the student regulations are like (instructions on class rules until the withdrawal request), said regulations are in your email on the same day of your registration. Likewise, they will contact you soon to help you and that you can go to your nearest office, thank you very much Yamila!

Guillermo Ramos: The facilities are very basic. They do not have air conditioning, so if someone wants to take a course outside of winter, it is not recommended at all. (Keep in mind that in the halls there are at least 5 degrees more temperature due to the ovens, irons and burners). The teachers are good and the level of the course is what is desired. The location of that headquarters is excellent.
Response: Dear Guillermo, thank you for your comment and we will take it into account! For example, in summer, the institution has not taught any course in relation to the high temperatures in the city for years. Many thanks.

Airy Ar: The only good thing: kitchen practice teachers. Everything else: - They harass you on WhatsApp saying that your payment is late (when the installments are up to date), saying that there will be delays and you will not be able to enter the kitchen unless you pay. - Terrible communication in terms of dates (beginning and end of classes, theoretical and practical endings) - When they realize that you are right due to an internal administrative error, they stop answering you and you cannot resolve the issue. - They are 1000% inflexible and you will be tied to last minute decisions of the school, without prior notice. Nothing can be discussed or suffered exception due to personal issues, they decide, you swallow it. - They do not print your certificates and diplomas, everything is online. They don't even send them to you by email, you have to look for them in the labyrinth that is the school's online platform. Is it cheaper than the competition? Yes Worth? Nope Pay what is worth the Argentine Institute of Gastronomy of Gross or Gato Dumas. If you enter here you are going to take headaches home. Even if you make an effort throughout the entire course, you may be c***ed at the last minute due to their lack of organization.
Response: Dear Airy, thank you very much for your comment! We would like you to be able to approach the Administration to talk better and avoid these inconveniences on collection days. We want to listen to you and solve the inconveniences that arise. Regarding the certificates, they are 100% physical and sealed, a digital one is simply granted momentarily while waiting for the arrival of the physical, in this way the student is helped to have an important endorsement of his studies + the certificate of title in process, while waiting for the physical. Thank you very much in advance and we are waiting for you!

florencia pazo: They are a disgrace at the administrative level, my colleagues have been waiting for their diplomas for a year and they said that they can only be given them by PDF, they charge a very expensive fee and they are not able to print the title. They never have the correct data in administration, they change the information depending on who you ask. Unlike other institutions you cannot take the preparations with you. The only remarkable thing is the teachers, the institution leaves a LOT to be desired

Maricel Rodriguez: My experience in iga was the best, from beginning to end, from the people at the reception, to the teachers, the kitchen, the location, in short...everything!!!! Travel from Chile to the courses, and without hesitation I would do it again. My only request is the possibility of doing the cooking course for celiacs in "intensive" mode (in one week for example). Grace spot everything !!!!.

Agustina Sol Perez: They say they are flexible and they are not flexible, they do not notify when they are going to raise the price, they do not notify the schedules until the courses are garbage. BEWARE if you plan to study gastronomy in a place as sloppy as they are only interested in money, nor are the classes useful to you

Nicolas Carreras: 1 - Lots of people and little place. 2 - They delayed with the booklets. 3 - They get dense with the issue of you paying. 4 - It would seem that it bothers them that one asks for information on courses and careers. In any other institute they give it to you and they don't pressure you to sign up. 5 - The teacher is very good, the only thing.

Adriana Marchetti: Excellent, it's a shame that due to a health problem I couldn't continue and finish with a beautiful course.

marisa tessari: Last night we cooked very rich

Liliana Izzo: excellent school Jewish food course All great! I will take other courses Thank you!

SILVIA ANDREA PRATTO FERNANDEZ: Very good pizza class a genius Miguel and Javier excellent wave

Mity Benitez: Excellent intensive courses of pizzas and empanadas. From the reception people to the teacher, all very cordial. highly recommended

Fernando Cruz: Excellent school all very good professionals

betiana: The best school. I always recommend it.

alberto daniel faur: Excellent Stone Pizza course, given by Miguel Villalba as a Professor, highly recommended!!!

Ruben Genova: Appyce is an excellent gastronomic teaching association, I recommend it. Today I finished my 4th course. Thanks for everything..

Facundo Rodriguez Callegari: Very good facilities and content. Prices very according to the needs. They provide uniform, tools and everything necessary for classes. If we compare it with other gastronomy schools, it has nothing to envy to the "top" ones that come out more than triple and are mostly just a name or brand. More than recommended Appyce !!

Marcelo Martinez: Excellent school and great teachers!

enrique albérto lopez: I liked it a lot, they treated me very well and answered all my questions, thanks Apyce!

Buenos Aires is a great place to learn how to cook! There are many cooking classes for children available in the city. These classes are designed to teach children the basics of cooking, from preparing ingredients to creating delicious dishes. The classes are taught by experienced chefs who will guide the children through the process of creating a meal. The classes are fun and interactive, and the children will learn valuable skills that will help them in the kitchen. With the help of these classes, children in Buenos Aires can become confident and creative cooks.
