Café Tortoni: what do users think?

Sam LaBelle: I came here two days in a row for breakfast. Overall I enjoyed my experience. The atmosphere is great and the service is decent. The tango history and memorabilia covering the walls is worth the visit. I had to wait a bit longer on my second visit for food and my check despite being the first one in the door and the place not being particularly busy. If you want one of the best cappuccinos in Buenos Aires look no further. The toast here is also very good, finding good bread in Buenos Aires is somewhat elusive (or perhaps I wasn’t looking in the right places). The cheesecake was delicious. If you’re planning to come later in the day be prepared to wait in line for 45 minutes to an hour.

Jessica Morales: As a breakfast person, especially if you accompany it with a perfect cup of coffee, I think is the best way to begin the day. This place got stuck in time, every inch is full of history and art. At this time is almost winter, it is a chill morning, and you can spot a waiting line at the door, most of these people are tourists who are just dropped off by the hop-on-hop-off bus. You can choose from preset breakfasts or lunch, or maybe you can create your combo with different pastries, coffees, sandwiches, etc. The pastries have an incredible flavor, you can feel the crunchiness and traditional flavor, in every bite. We got a couple of sandwiches (jam, cheese, and tomato), and of course, you can not miss a freshly squeezed orange juice. If you are in Buenos Aires you can not miss this place.

Mazahir Rahim: Stepping into Cafe Tortoni is like stepping back into time. The moment you alight on the pavement outside and see the smiling face of the statue welcoming you in, to the entrance into the cafe and the walls studded by slice of history going deep deep into the cafe, you feel as if time has stopped and you have stepped into another very gracious lifetime. Buenos Aires, like Paris, is famous for its cafes and none are more interesting to visit that Cafe Tortoni. The fare also lives up to the traditions set by the owners more than a century ago. Their cakes and pastries are a must try as are their steaks. Gracious stewards look after your needs and time stands still. There is no hurry, no bustle nothing but time on your hands to savour the atmosphere and the food. Stay as long as you wish, imbibe this slice of history for this slice of history will stay with you forever.

Thiago Oliveira: Café Tortoni has a very immersive environment and a lovely staff. I also enjoyed the variety of food and drink options for a reasonable price. This place is a must-go when visiting Buenos AiresFood: 4/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Yoko Tsukahara: Very nice experience in Buenos Aires. Nice breakfast, coffee, fresh orange juice. Full of historic pictures and stories.

Emily Chao: The food and coffee is rated three stars but I added an extra star for the beautiful interior. I understand why you must visit this cafe as a tourist. This cafe contains so much history and there is a little museum in the back to show much of this history. The food and drink, however, are very standard. For a place this beautiful and much visited, I expected a quality of coffee and food to be very good. The coffee and medialuna tasted like your standard coffee and medialuna you could pick up at any neighborhood cafe. The chocolate cake and orange juice were alright but the best food was the ham and cheese sandwich with toasted bread. The cheese was melty and the bread was toasted perfectly. We ordered the tortoni and added another coffee with two medialunas and it was enough for two people to share for breakfast.

Eva Xiao: The food and drinks are a bit pricier here but it’s well worth it for the beautiful interior and classic design. The tango shows held here are great too, but you have to buy the tickets in cash in person.

Victor Alejandro: Not only the history is very charming about this place (established in 1958) also the interior it brings you back in time. I absolutely loved the chocolate and churros. A must try!

굿보이Bugi: When you enter Tortoni you thought you were send back in time. I do not know about this place but the feel will tickle your interest to find out why this cafe is very famous. Come see for yourself…

Rambla - Barra de café: what do users think?

Camila Gregurincic: Very good coffee and service!!!

Héctor Edson Berzano: Peppermint tonic and iced tea

Plinio Giacomini: Specialty coffee and various jams. Excellent quality, service and attention. A corner that is semi-hidden in one of the streets of Las Cañitas that one spends more with a car than walking. With strong and close competition, even so, this very well-made cafe and pleasant place stands out. With alfajores and puddings of spectacular freshness, flavor and consistency.

Gustavo Bada: The place is very quiet, the coffee responds to a specialty coffee and they take care of the extraction, I always order an espresso, I like the acidity level of their coffee. The attention is good, the pastry is scarce but everything is delicious.

Natalia Raurell: Delicious coffee, I ordered an ice latte. The Alfajor a delicacy. The space has a very nice energy, and very good attention.

Silvina Baigorria (China): The most beautiful corner of Cañitas ✨If you like specialty coffee, highly recommended! They traumatized with grain from Puerto Blest and they already have their own coffee ♥ ️ is a caturra from Colombia origin with a washed benefit, notes of jasmine, choco, walnut and a soft buttery touch. Hyper balanced 😌 The coffee menu is an all that is good! For summer a coffee tonic, for winter and those cloudy days they prepare the best flat white 😋 (advice, do not sweeten it, first try how it comes out, you will be surprised by the natural sweetness it has). If you like to try new things you have to try 👉🏼 Special coffee ✨ Boys are geniuses. The super warm atmosphere. I recommend something sweet: walnut alfajor and coconut, they break it 💫

Federico Marfetan: I loved the cafeteria, if you are looking for a good coffee you cannot stop going. The two guys who served me were super cool and the ground coffee they recommended to me is 10

Agustín Blanco: Very nice cafeteria. The coffee was rich, well calibrated. You can tell that the barista knows his trade. We accompanied it with a lemon and raspberry muffin that was delicious, moist and with a good balance of flavors. Aesthetically it is a very nice space, well decorated and used the available space. It has several tables on the street and the system of bars that look inside and outside seemed right to me. It is not an area that I frequent but I would go back because it seemed like a very good option.

Maricafé - Café • Bar & LGBT BookStore: what do users think?

Bernard Truong: Cosy café to relax and have a chat with friends. Very friendly staff and efficient with the service. We went there for an afternoon snack with a ham & cheese sandwich and a carrot cake, both were tasty and the carrot cake was exactly as I’ve always had in North America :) Stop by to enjoy a drink, a coffee or a snack. We’ll certainly come back for an afternoon bite next time we are in the area.

Dan Perlman: Good sandwiches, nice atmosphere. A treat to have a comfortable, safe space for the gay, lesbian, and trans community to hang out in a café setting.

Sebastián Dalla Ba': Maricafe - this is also a pun, it means sissy café - is a new place in a quiet area of Palermo. It’s in a corner surrounded by old trees and a bike lane, it’s not only a bar, but a bookstore. You can enjoy your happy hour while you read a book and get the chance to meet that sexy nerd of you dreams.

Analia Meo: Lovely place. Great option if you go out with friends or if you need to work. There is a small LGBTQ library if you fancy to discover new literature.

Mariano Morat: cozzy and funny coffe bar. Croissant are delicious and homemade tasty

Kendrick Sanchez: Interesting books to read, pretty nice food, good entertainment.

Chubu: Tasty and healthy food

Ramiro Cosmetology: 🌈🐶♥️✨

Cloé Jutzet: Good real cappuccino. Nice place. Highly recommend !

Rob Brook: Awesome coffee and cinnamon almond pastry.

Stormer_3.0: They have the best coffee and the best customer service, if you are searching for having a good time go here

Deborah Soares: Best coffee in BA. Loved it. Friendly staff too.

T Grein (Grinds): Really good coffee. Great baked goods. Very cute and comfy coffee shop with good staff. Surprisingly impressed!

Joni Nielandt: The coffee is incredible. So much flavor and a lot of options. They also have a seasonal menu that changes accordingly. The food is also good: they do breakfast and lunch and snacks. Would love to go back here. We had the cold brew (excellent, so much flavor), iced coffee with cacao (very good and indulgent, not too heavy), and wraps which were also very tasty.
