European design and a long tradition of quality plays and shows near Corrientes avenue which is the latin American equivalent of West End in London or Broadway in USA due to the variety of theaters and shows providing a vast list of options for all kind of audiences.

Joseph Lam: This is an awesome Opera House and Ballet Theatre, ranked among the finest in the world. The great hall has perfect acoustic. The history of how it was built, taking 16 years and under the leadership of 3 architects, was most intriguing. Marbles of specific colours for various parts of the main entrance, stairs, railings, walls, etc., were imported from different countries in Europe. Beautiful painted ceilings and chandeliers helped to showcase the grandeur of the opera house. It is clearly an iconic landmark of Buenos Aires and worth seeing for any visitor to this city.
Damien Frennet: The guide tour of theater Colon is fun and highly recommended even if the lights are being tested. We enjoyed the tour so much we came back to attend a ballet. We had parterre center seats. We highly recommend attending a shoe in this beautiful place with a great local Orchestra and fantastic acoustic. It is one of the best things to do in BA.
Thai Fonseca: Better than the guided visit is to enjoy a play, ballet or music show at the theatre. Get you ticket and blend in the local crowd.We went to a ballet and it was tremendous. The acoustics is perfect. We could hear the musicians turning the pages by the fourth floor.
Barry Shaffer: Had the fortune of catching a Ballet during our visit to Buenos Aires. Such a magnificent piece of history and I was amazed at how much love and care has gone into its preservation. Many younger grand theaters in the world are not in this beautiful of shape.
Isis Salgado: The theater itself deserves 5 stars, since it is beautiful and has such interesting history. However, I removed one star due to the disproportionate reaction of the tour guide when I put my water bottle for only 5 seconds on the support of the wall just to tie my hair. He said that I couldn’t do that to such an important building (?). Of course the building is important and I do respect its history - otherwise I wouldn’t be paying 3.800 pesos (almost 25 euros) to visit and learn about it. If putting an almost empty bottle would actually damage the support in one of the walls of the hallway, I wouldn’t do that. Recommend the guide to be a bit more sensible to how to approach tourists. His overreaction made me feel embarrassed for him and almost ruined the experience.
María Bárbara Mora García: It is just a stunning,unbelievable precious building! It is a must even if you can not attend a show. The tour is worth it and unbelievable amazing to look at and take pictures of. The outside is beautiful but the inside is breath-taking.
Mavi Carrasco: Magnificent architecture and the best acoustics in the continent. Best events are operas and symphonics. The decor is gorgeous and the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Must go place, beautiful inside and out.

Karina S: The inclination is not enough. AC not adjusted for the crowd it was hot. Restrooms ugh... The best thing was the function, THE BEST, " The jagged little pill" with Victoria Acerboni and the rest of spectacular talent.
Andrea Hurst: Their air-conditioning system should be improved. We went to see a musical and it was so hot we considered leaving before the end of the show.
Timothy Lovett: Very cool atmosphere, great community theater with a good number of seats! Great to go and watch smaller shows, good facilities as well

Daniel Carlozzi: Not for everyone. The experience lasts 2 hours including dinner. You enjoy a play with sound effects in complete darkness. It depends on your expectations and how you feel when your surrounding is all black
Bonita Mita: We went to the gourmet experience since the play is in Spanish and my husband does not speak the language I figure he could at least enjoy the food. Excellent staff, the food is ok not great but the play was amazing all your other senses come to play. They accomodate dietary needs and also were kind enough to allow me to translate to my husband (quietly) and he enjoyed it as well. A great experience. Highly recommend!

Nahomi Lamour: Excellent shows, the place is small but well organized so you can see everything from any seat you get.
Zoé Abecilla: Beautiful theater, the dressing rooms can be improved, especially the one below, which is the largest but could be better. The stage is small but big enough for about 10 people on top comfortably. Well located, and the arrival for the public is very well done, comfortable seats and it looks good from all sides

Ana: The theater is small but cute. The seats are comfortable, the room was quite clean and the staff that works there was very friendly at all times, both the girls who placed you in your seat and the candy shop staff. From all the seats in the theater you have a very good view of the stage and even if there is someone in front who is very tall, you can see it well, since the seats are in a grandstand format.

Nicolás Pírez: Went to hear a friend sing. It was my first time in this venue. I found it really good. Due to rain we could not used the patio. Which was a shame. But still, good sound, good atmosphere, excellent place.
